Hi, I’m Shannon Livezey.

Owner & Founder, Licensed Massage Therapist (SC 12326), Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist, Certified Infant Massage Therapist, BSFCS in Child Development

My journey into Avodah Massage Therapy began with a profound desire to make a meaningful impact on the well-being of families. My passion for holistic health was ignited during my early career, where I observed the transformative power of touch in my personal life. This led me to explore massage therapy as a means of providing comfort and healing.
Driven by my commitment to integrating wellness into family life, I sought specialized training in therapeutic techniques, focusing on how touch can address both physical and emotional needs. My experiences with my own children deepened my understanding of how massage can influence early development and emotional resilience.

As I delved deeper into my practice, I became increasingly convinced of the need for a family-centered approach. This realization led me to establish Avodah Massage Therapy as a family-centered practice, where I could blend my expertise with my belief in purposeful, empathetic care. Through Avodah, I aim to offer a space where every family member—from infants to adults—can experience the holistic benefits of intentional touch.
I look forward to meeting you on the table!

The Avodah Approach

Client-Centered

We believe that YOU know YOUR body and YOUR pain best. Your lived experience is yours alone and only you can let us know about it. Each massage is centered on what you feel, where you feel it, and what feels significant to meet your goals for each session.

Every massage is completely customized to fit each client’s individual needs. We operate on two guiding pillars for each massage: Client-centered and Trauma-infomed

Trauma-Informed

Each person carries around either physical or emotional trauma that we take into consideration for each session. It is important to center around what feels comfortable to you and what we can do to make sure that nothing is triggering and that you feel heard and validated.
